Minutes of the July 7, 2008 meeting:
The meeting was called to order by President William Geiger. Also present were
Bob Lewis, Paul Federspiel, Sue Williams, Mike Long, Jerry McArdle, and new
member Rick Behnfeldt. Also present was Bruce Snyder, secretary.
The minutes of the April 7, 2008 meeting were read. On motion duly made and
seconded, the minutes were approved as read.
Old Business:
A report on the status of the Ordinance review steering committee was presented
by Larry Armstrong. Everything seems to be progressing will. It is hoped that a
draft document will be presented to the Plan Commission at its October meeting.
Codification Status – no report
New Business:
Appointment of Plan Commission member to the BZA: On motion duly made and
seconded, Mike Long was nominated as a member from the Plan Commission to the
BZA. Motion passed.
Appointment of Plan Commission Alternate: On motion by P. Federspiel and
seconded by B. Lewis, it was moved that a request be forwarded to Council that
they consider the appointment of an alternate member to the Plan Commission.
Motion passed.
A letter was read to the Commission from Philip and Joyce Bellner, 653 Lake Dr.
and others, requesting the vacation of Orchard Street in the Plat of Section 4
Arcadia Beach. No action taken.
Next meeting the Plan Commission will be October 6, 2008
There being no further business to come before the Plan Commission, the meeting
was adjourned.
