Visitors: 12 people signed the guest register.
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Bill Geiger, President.
Jerry McArdle, Plan Commission Secretary, read the Minutes for the May 4, 2009
meeting.
A motion was made by Bob Lewis to approve the May 4, 2009 Minutes with changes
to be made. George Schenkel seconded the motion. All was in favor of the motion,
so the motion carried.
Bill Geiger updated those in attendance on the UDO Advisory Committee and what
they have accomplished.
President Bill Geiger asked for any comments from the audience. Bob Grimes spoke
on behalf of Sailor’s Cove and their plans to build in the future. There are
some concerns about what will be permitted and what will not. It was explained
that they will need to go before the BZA and apply for a variance. There was a
discussion on the matter.
Old Business:
There was a brief discussion on the Codification of the Unified Development
Ordinance. It was explained that this document will stand alone and not with the
other Town Ordinances.
New Business:
Bill Geiger presented the Board with suggested changes and/or correction from
the UDO Advisory Committee. These changes were accepted unanimously by the Board
with 6-0 in favor. (Actual document of suggestions attached)
Bruce Snyder, Zoning Inspector, addressed the issue of having documentation that
states the Zoning Inspector has the right to enter onto “private property” to do
inspections once an Improvement Location Permit has been issued for
construction.
The next scheduled meeting of the Plan Commission will be held September 21,
2009 at 7:00 p.m.
A motion was made by Jerry McArdle to adjourn the meeting. Bob Lewis seconded
the motion. All was in favor of the motion so the meeting was adjourned at 9:00
p.m.
