Roles & Responsibilities:
Listed below are some, not all, of the roles and responsibilities of the Street & Sewer Superintendent:
- Serves as a representative of the Town
- Inspects street and sewer systems and equipment
- Performs utility locate requests within required time limits
- Maintains the Towns sewer system including preventative and routing maintenance, inventory requirements, life cycle replacement schedule and upgrades
- Responds to implements repairs for sewer emergency calls
- Works with the Towns engineering firms, helping prepare a comprehensive roadway management plan and perform construction oversight of projects as necessary
- Maintains street repair, including snow and ice removal, signs, roadsides and patching of roadways
- Monitor sewer main lift station operations
- Performs Towns spring and fall leaf pick-up
- Maintains the Towns vehicles and equipment
- Prepares annual acquisitions of parts and contact maintenance
- Maintains all Town buildings and grounds

- Assists in road maintenance and repairs
- Assists in the Towns annual leaf pick-up program
- Assists in performing utility locate requests within the required time limits
- Assists in maintaining the Towns vehicles and equipment
- Assists in inspecting the street and sewer systems and equipment
- Assists in maintaining street repair, including snow and ice removal, signs, roadsides and patching of roadways
- Assists in maintaining all Town buildings and grounds
